Collectable, Hand Tied Fly

From the collection of Dave McNeese

Includes a card, signed by Dave, and verifies the fly is an authentic Polly Rosborough fly. 

Polly was a great friend, and I visited with him many times, at his home in Chiloquin, Oregon.  He also tied flies frequently, at my shop, in Salem, Oregon, during the late 1970’s and early 1980’s.  The fly in the eBay posting are from this time period, where I saw Polly tie each fly.

 

His book, “The Fuzzy Nymphs,” was first printed in 1965.  This placed Polly in a position of recognition as an authority on western hatches. 

The flies tied by Polly replicated the insects he studied.
