This is a rare new release collectors model in 1:43 scale by Best Model of Italy, brand new in original packaging, Best Model item number 9346.

There were a number of Porsche 908/4 Turbos entered in the 1981 Nurburgring 1000 km race, which forms part of the World Championship of Makes. This is the privately entered car owned by Siegfried Brunn. Brunn co-drove the car with Herbert Muller, who was unfortunately involved in a fatal accident on the 13th lap when his car spun off and collided with the Porsche 935 of Bobby Rahal which had been parked on the side of the track since retiring on the first lap.

This model features accurate cast alloy wheels with knock off hubs and correct profile race tyres. The body is nicely modelled and captures the shape and stance of the original car perfectly. It is finished in authentic colours and carries all the correct race logos and decals. The underside is also nicely finished with some chassis and mechanical details and exhaust system represented.

The interior features steering wheel, detailed dashboard and instruments, race seats and harness, gearshift and many other details.

Best Model items come mounted on a black plastic plinth in a clear plastic display box with outer cardboard window box. This item is brand new in original unmarked packaging.

Best Model
Best Model is a long established Italian maker of detailed scale models in 1:43 scale. All items are well researched and produced with meticulous attention to detail and a high level of finish. Their range covers classic sports racing and road cars from the Forties to the late seventies. They are part of the M4 group who also produce Art Model and Rio.

These models collectors items and are not toys. They are made in diecast metal with many other materials included for detailing, such as plastics, rubber and fine photo etchings on most items.

Insurance
I do pack all items very well to minimise the risk of damage, however I cannot be responsible for loss or damage while goods are in transit. If this is a concern to you I suggest postal insurance.

Registered Post costs an extra $2.50 and covers your parcel against loss for up to $100.00. Extra cover is available at $1.10 per $100.00 cover.

International -
Postal insurance is available for $8.00 and this covers you against loss up to $100.00. Extra cover is available and costs $2.00 per $100.00 cover.
