The Coolech 618 funtions similar to the WDTV Media Player but not only allows you to connect external USB hard drive/devices but also enables you to install an internal 2.5" hard drive (up to 2TB) for media storage.

Portable Multimedia Player, 1080i High Definition, HDMI

COOLECH CP-618 is a dual mode device which can be used as both a portable media player as well as a portable USB hard drive (when internal hard drive is installed). The device fits right in your pocket and is an easy, affordable way to watch and enjoy digital media content at home or away from home. Download your favourite content onto the Coolech device (requires internal hard drive) and connect to a television (via HDMI or RCA), then watch your stored movies and home videos or look at your photo collection using the slideshow function and your favourite background music. In addition to the internal storage, the COOLECH CP-618 also has an external USB port which enables you to watch media content via other USB devices such as an external USB HDD, or a USB flash drive. As such, the media collection used through the device can be endless - just add more storage drives for more movies.

Portable USB Hard Drive

Not only can the COOLECH CP-618 be used as a media player but when an optional 2.5" is installed it can also be used as a portable 2.5" USB hard drive. In this mode, the device can be connected to a computer or another media player and used as a portable hard drive. When connected to a USB port, there is no need for external power as the device will be powered via the host's USB port, making it a simple, convenient way to store and carry 1000s of movies, songs or files (especially for users of laptops where external power is not practical).
