It is is an 1100 litre Schutz plastic tank in a steel frame suitable for drinking water. It was previously used to supply food-grade vanilla flavour used as a bakery ingredient for cakes. The dimensions are 1000 x 1200 x 1160 high, with a 46mm diameter outlet and a 140mm diameter lidded fill hole.
These tanks are lightweight and can be easily lifted (when empty) by two people. Even one person can manhandle a tank onto the back of a ute. So it is ideal for watering stock, the garden, for building sites, or for many other uses. They are designed to be stacked one on top of another.
The tank is fitted with a tap, plus a spout which can be removed to reveal a threaded outlet for connecting a large hose. For example, I have one which connects, using quick-release milk fittings, to a 2-stroke petrol water pump. I bought this off eBay to use as a fire pump, but Bunnings and others have them. Alternatively why not drop a hose into the top and use one of Bunnings (or ALDI's when available) electric garden hose pumps?
