Whether or not you like the floral concept of these, it's lovely to have two old matching wooden frames in the swing style popular in the 40's or so. The prints inside look as though they were a supplementary gift from a magazine called the Woman's Realm. They were painted by Albert Williams and I can see the fisrt three numbers of the date...196...so the prints were painted in the Sixties. Having said that though, I think the frames are older. Both contain different arrangements of field and/or English cottage garden flowers in gorgeous and different bowls. The frames are a light moulded timber and the moulding matches the trim on the base of the units. Glass, frames and timber bases are in excellent condition. The backside of each picture needs a bit of work. It has a masonite backing and this has been held in place by a tape of some sort. However, the tape is becoming unstuck and needs replacing. Otherwise, all is good! From table top to top of the frame, each picture measures 11 inches high. The base is also 11 inches from side to side. I REQUIRE THE BUYER TO PAY FOR REG/INSURANCE OF THIS AS A PACKAGE.
