Primare R20 Phono Preamplifier
A company with as long a heritage of fine audio reproduction as Primare could not relegate phono reproduction to an afterthought, and the result is the thoroughly engineered R20 Phono Preamplifier, a full featured phono stage that allows for the use of both moving magnet and moving coil cartridges to the best advantage of either type. As with all Primare designs, the power supply for any product is of paramount importance, leading to the custom designed inboard toroidal transformer providing the foundation for the R20's high capacity power supply. This feeds a truly musical pre-amplifier circuit that is as quiet as it is linear. With setup features, conveniently located on the outside of the unit, to ensure the cartridge is loaded properly to perform at its best, the R20 builds on the company's tradition of ease of use in the service of great sound.
Accepting the output of both moving coil and moving magnet type cartridges, the R20 can be adjusted and fine-tuned to best configure the phono cartridge/preamplifier interface for truly optimized performance.

OK, I have had some real problems with a very small number of overseas Ebay buyers lately, hence the following Common Sense notes for those few ...
-
1. Australia is NOT IN EUROPE, GREAT BRITAIN or USA. It is in the Southern Hemisphere and is a long way from RUSSIA, CZECH Republic and most Northern Hemisphere Countries. If you dont believe me, Google a map of the World and CHECK FOR YOURSELF.
-
2. Because we are a long way from you, freight can be expensive. Example, a 60cm x 60cm x 30cm 30kg Box sent to Russian Federation from Australia by Air Freight Door to Door may be as much as $600 AUD ! Do not expect it to be $200 ! Do you own checking or email me for an estimate BEFORE YOU BID !
-
3. Insurance is COMPULSORY ON ALL ITEMS - If you dont want to pay for Insurance, DONT BID.
-
4. Custom Packaging is COMPULSORY ON ALL HEAVY/DELICATE ITEMS. This costs about $30 to $50 for most Amps/Receivers/Speakers/CD Players. Where possible, I do it myself to keep costs down, but if I determine it needs Professional Packaging, I expect the buyer to pay for it.

One more thing .... I'm going to put my mobile number in my listings for those that want to speak directly with me about anything. That way, you know I'm genuine and happy to help with any questions you might have.
-
Please bear in mind that I do have a life "off ebay", plus our two small children - so if I dont answer immediately I'm probably changing a Nappy !
Something of interest that I have noticed more of lately.....
Many of the buyers that I talk to have had numerous problems with setting up their gear and getting the best from it. Far too often, this leads to frustration and the desire to sell the offending component(s), usually at a loss, then buy the next thing in the hope that it will be better than the last. I have found that more often than not, the problem was in the setup, either component mis-matching, positioning, connection or application etc. Its easy for those of us with decades of experience to at least get a reasonable sound from a system within a relatively short period. But for those without the desire, knowledge or time to delve into this area, I would suggest strongly that you pay someone to do it. This will save you jumping onto the "component swap" merry-go-round, you will save money and you will enjoy your system far more. By all means give me a call to discuss this. I have heard vast improvements in sound system quality once someone has got the whole thing working correctly and have some very happy users out there who dont even bother changing their components anymore - they just play it and enjoy the music !
Please Note - I have recently decided to have many of my more delicate or heavy items professionally packaged by www.packsend.com.au This is due to a lack of time and materials to complete the job to the level of safety I require. Please see shipping info below.
Hi, my name is Scott Campbell and I do a lot of eBay buying and Selling as a hobby. My interest is mainly in used High End Audio Equipment - Amplifiers (Valve & Solid State), Preamplifier's, Speakers, CD Players & Transports, Turntables, Cables etc. I have been on eBay for several years now and have completed many sales and purchases, both in Australia and around the world. I have met some great people on eBay and now have a ton of overseas contacts who I correspond with regularly. As a result of this, I now have access to a lot Audio information which allows me to answer just about any questions you might have - if I dont know the answer, I will know someone who does !
I am also particularly proud of my 100% Positive Feedback Rating. This means I will go the "extra mile" to make sure your purchase is a satisfying one and any problem will be resolved to our mutual satisfaction. Due to the nature of electronics, especially older models, faults are sometimes unavoidable. Wherever possible, I try to describe my sales accurately and honestly. However, I'm only human and sometimes things get past me. Rest assured however, that I am always here to try and answer any questions - that's why my mobile number is in all my auctions.
I am located about 20 minutes south of Newcastle in NSW at Swansea 2281. I am often in Sydney (about 1 1/2 hours away) though, so delivery/collection is not a problem as long as you are flexible on times.
FREIGHT
Options are post, courier or personal collection. All delicate or fragile items will be professionally packaged by www.packsend.com.au and the buyer shall be responsible for their charges - usually about $40 AUD. This is well worth the extra piece of mind, making sure your purchase arrives safely and intact. (Please note: personal collection is by prior arrangement only). Buyer shall meet all delivery costs including insurance. Delivery is charged at cost. (Please note: because I offer the option of personal collection, and because an accurate delivery cost cannot be calculated without first packing the item, I do not provide exact quotes on delivery cost before the end of auction, only estimates) For an estimate of Australia Post local parcel delivery charges, go to http://www1.auspost.com.au/pac/aus_parcel.asp (use 2281 and your own postcode). For international parcel delivery charges up to 20Kg, go to http://www1.auspost.com.au/pac/int_parcel.asp . In addition to actual postage costs, buyer shall incur a $5.00 fee to cover the cost of materials and time for careful packaging, handling etc for this item. Registered mail and insurance is available for local bidders, and insurance is generally available for all deliveries – please ask if you want either. Australia post also have size restrictions on parcels. They will not ship anything with a girth of greater than 140cm, so items exceeding this will be shipped via Courier.
International Parcels over 20Kg will require a special quote.
CONDITIONS OF SALE PLEASE READ
It is my hobby to find good looking local items that I feel would appeal to a world wide market. I was heavily into hi-fi in the 70's and 80's when most of the things I sell were made, I am very fussy about condition, and feel I have a good ear (two actually). I have the advantage of going to a person's house, physically seeing and inspecting the item as well as it's surroundings and the perceived integrity of the seller and their reasons for selling. I am not trying to unload something that I know has hidden problems, nor would I ever. I test them to the extent described, and being used, the ebayer takes the same risks as I did, unfortunately based only on my pictures, my description, and my integrity. This stuff is used and though I pack well (check my feedback), something could shake loose or out of alignment in shipping; or my description, being subjective, may not meet your standards (but I doubt it). If you don't want to assume any risk please DO NOT BID. If you have any concerns about condition, packing, or shipping, please ask BEFORE you bid. This paragraph is intended especially for Ebay new-comers and the 1 percent or so of buyers who don't seem to understand the Ebay concept. Thanks and good luck.
MULTIPLE PURCHASES
Where possible, these will be included in one shipment to reduce postage costs.
