Thick cardboard, satin matt finish Art Work. Interesting and clever interpretation by the Artist. "Our interpretation of the Artists interpretation" is that the Art Work appears to have been designed based on 9 "photo negatives" of the different phases of the moon and the phases of the Qantas / Australian Airlines merger. Each "negative" has a date and time stamp. The first "negative" is time stamped 00:00:00 dated 31.10.93. The final "negative" is time stamped 00:09:00 dated 31.10.93. Did the Artist record the historic date of 31st October 1993, with the finalisation of the merge occurring at 9.00 am and the Celebration of the new QANTAS? The first "negative" has captured the moon, the ninth and final "negative" has the iconic Qantas Kangaroo over the moon.

History
On the 31st October 1993 QANTAS AIRWAYS and AUSTRALIAN AIRLINES merged. From that date Australian Airlines flights officially became QANTAS flights, and the merged Airlines became known as QANTAS the Australian Airline
James Strong (CEO 1993) commissioned 27 young Australian Artists to design, autograph and number up to 1000 (only) reproductions of their interpretation of the theme CELEBRATE OUR NEW QANTAS
Only 1 print per staff member was produced, therefore, each art work was exclusive to founding staff members of the new Qantas Group. The piece is Autographed by the Artist and hand written Number 372 of 1000 (bottom of colour picture). We cannot decipher the Artists name.
Condition
The Art Work was14 years old on the 31st October 2007 !! Given the age of the art work, it is reasonably well preserved. There are pale golden/brown stains/marks on the white border which look like a "water wash", they are all "age related", the art work is not new! It is from a different era in Qantas History. We have not had the piece framed, it has been kept in a smoke free, dark cupboard. The Art Work is not torn or ripped. This picture could be framed to make quite an impressive memento of Qantas history.
. . . but wait . . . there's more ! . . .
taste-and-bud have separately listed in their ebaY store more Qantas posters and collectibles.
