"Dance of the Seahorse"  is an original design of mine, and is a unique one-off  wall quilt.  It was displayed at the"Quilt Showcase" exhibition in Melbourne 2009.  It is an applique quilt, made of all cotton fabrics with an organdy overlay to give sparkle to the ocean.  There is some hand embroidery on the mermaids, and the seahorses are hand painted, then appliqued.  I have  included lots of other sea creatures as well, and children should enjoy to look for them and to feel the different textures etc.  Measurements are 145cm long x 135 cm wide.  I enjoyed making this quilt very much and I hope you enjoy it to the same extent.  There is a valuation certificate from Vic. Quilters for insurance purposes of $850 for "Dance of the Seahorses.
