the espresso extraction. The barista would know immediately if channeling occurs making them aware
that a level tamp was not made. Watching an extraction from a bottomless portafilter vividly shows the
barista how the extraction is progressing and makes them aware of what changes are needed to be made
to achieve the perfect extraction.

The naked portafilter has been produced by an espresso machine parts manufacturer,
the inside is chromed all the way through and the bottom edge is very precise and can
be relatively sharp.
