RARE– BESWICK–Beatrix Potter-*Little Pig Robinson* BP2



On offer is this delightful figurine by Beswick – Made in England in the Beatrix PotterRange titled **LITTLE PIG ROBINSON** with the RARE GOLD OVAL BP2 Stamp issued between 1955-1972.

 

Offered in excellent condition with no restoration / chips or flaws there is light crazing in some areas – this is not viewable to the naked eye but can be seen under a magnifier – this is commensurate with the age of the item and most figures with this stamp will have some form of crazing – I think this is very minimal on this particular figurine.

 

Little Pig Robinson seems to be skipping off somewhere with a basket under his/her arm wearing a white with a blue aqua stripe top and matching pants.

 

Fully back stamped with the GOLD OVAL BP2 stamp as pictured – dimensions are height 10cm and width 7cm.

 

Perfect as a gift or collector of Beatrix Potter these GOLD OVAL back stamps are highly collectable and not often available and you could say are becoming quite scarce to find in excellent condition.


  I have two other BESWICK – Beatrix Potter figurines currently listed – both with the BP3b back stamp (1975-1985) - “Flopsy Mopsy Cottontail” and “Mrs Rabbit” both in excellent condition. I am more than happy to combine postage.
