I believe this is the 2nd imprint of the first edition of 1897.

First few pages are loose, the remainder & well bound

Very little staining of pages

Pages are hand cut

Cover in good order

Spine shows some age & staining from sunlight, being the surface exposed the most on a bookshelf.

Written as a series of short stories or essays that join sequence together

Bram Stoker became a well known socialite & member of the British Aristocratic class & the book was a smash hit upon release. Bram Stoker went on to write numerous other novels, none of them however, as well known as Dracula. The Supernatural horror story that was researched for a decade by Stoker, before completion, launched a whole genre of horror stories, that are still as popular today as they were in the late 19th Century.
