This is a vary rare gold auto focus version of the iconic Polaroid SX 70 instant camera.

Unlike all other Polaroids, it's an single lens reflex design or SLR...And it's manual focus using your eyeball ! So what you see is really what you get.

It also has the unique polaroid sonar AF system, which can be turned off for full manual focusing. The high quality glass lens (most other polaroid lenses are plastic) allows for very close focussing as well, and because you can see through the lens, highly creative results can be produced. This camera is highly sought after by visual artists for this very reason and the polaroid film can also be easily manipulated during it's development for creative results.

Although Polaroid were known more for their cheaper cameras, this camera produces consistently high results because of it's SLR lens design and near macro focussing abilities. Other accesories were also made, such as flash unit's, filter kits, remote releases and self timers (not included here)

This camera works and has some scuff marks on the leather. There is also a very small area on the underside where the gold paint has flaked. (see photos). It closes and stays latched.
