RARE FIND
THIS WONDERFUL ANTIQUE
PRAYER STOOL
CAME MANY YEARS AGO FROM A CHURCH
AND HAS SINCE BEEN USED IN A HEALING
SPIRITUAL RETREAT.
It is constructed from three pieces of very heavy timber
(could be red gum) which have been hewn and shaped with what looks like axe and chisel. The marks are highly visible all over.
The seat is 63cm x 30cm x6.5cm thick.
Each leg is shaped (see photo) and one is engraved on the inside with the letter R and a symbol(see photo).The legs are  30cm x6.5 cm x38cm high.
There are no nails or screws in the stool, and the seat is joined to the legs with wooden dowels.

This is indeed a rare find for the collector of handmade wooden items, church memorabilia, etc.
