Rare to find an early light globe like this still boxed and in perfect condition. Correct globe .. has same 40 watt rating as stamped on the box top too. This box is about 4 1/2" high and 2 1/2" square. It is in EC, with minor fading and minor dirt to the top only. Made in Australia .. front and back to box the same. Bottom is all blue with 'Crompton Lamps made in Australia" on it, in yellow. Under lid, the flaps have writing, and the latest patent date shown is 1925!! I do not think it is THAT old though, but it IS likely to be at least 70 years old. Hard to find these like this these days .. scarce item here..... see other different one listed too. Good Luck..
