RARE Technic Set 8479 Barcode Multi-Set

Made in 1997 with 1263 Pcs the Barcode Technic truck is a excellent set.The wonderful concept is the barcode scanner ( or code pilot ).Programing the scanner is pretty neat.You can either scan codes off the placematt card, or you can program it by recording a series of moves as you make the truck run like recording a macro on a spreadsheet.You can program the truck to operate at different speeds, 4 actually, if you count the "varying speed"scan mode.You can also record several different motorlike sounds and one octane of musical notes.Some of the truck features are:Operating front clamps to pick up wheels and drop them into rear container,tilting rear container,steering to cab.Making realistic truck like sounds that include different engine speeds(low and high revs),air brake noises,also the truck moves by itself or if pushed the engine revs faster as you move it.It all can be programed or operated by the use of levers on each side of truck by hand.There are 4 models to make out of this one set.It will take hours to build and you will enjoy it for many after.It is a very complex set, but one quite different from any others.A MUST HAVE SET FOR THE COLLECTOR."Engineering marvel"
