This beautiful Genuine Fine Caucasian Kazak Afghan Rug was woven in Northern Afghanistan. It is a workshop carpet woven by a Master Tribal Weaver. There is extremely limited production of rugs of this style and size.

This stunning rug is a recent weave and is brand new. It has an all woolen low cut pile and is woven on a strong cotton warp and weft. It has a most attractive caucasian design and a lovely well balanced colour combination; mainly golds, burnt terracottas and a hint of olive green and sky blue. It has a lovely cream coloured border. It is a very fine example of its type, gallery quality. The colours are soft, warm and well balanced.

Runners of this type and length are difficult to aquire.

The rug has a tight weave as can be seen by the back shot. It is ideal for heavy traffic. It is a particularly fine weave as can be seen on the close up shot of the field of the rug.

The rug has an intricate geometric caucasian design field, the border is particularly attractive. This rug is similar to the well saught after Caucasian Rugs of the 1800's.
