IN THIS AUCTION YOU ARE BIDDING ON A RARE VINTAGE Big Huge 15" long, T.N. (Toy Nomurai) 1965 MUSTANG FRICTION CAR! Made in Japan, this is a very cool find! Now this car I is not still in original condition it has been painted.The paint color on car is a dark rusty sorta red and paint appears to have a metallic shine. It has survived for the last almost 45 years and has remained, for a toy, in quite good condition. It certainly could be in far far worse condition. It has its flaws but I think it would be not to much work to restore the few minor flaws. There is a bit of light rust and pitting just around the silver areas on the car, I think some CLR should remove the tiny rust spots. The back window as you can see, has a dent on the lower part of the silver chrome near where you seee inside the bow and arrow laying inside the car. Im sure the serious tin collector would be able to reshape the frame and then the window would straighten out to. What I find missing, you would have to either make or find, because it has one door handle and not the other. So there is one here on the drivers side to either copy and make or find suitable replacement. I think it may have had an antenna, its gone there is a hole there to insert one. Something else Im sure would not be hard to make or find. The other small peice missing is one of the small lower headlights in front lower bumper and again, one on the passenger side there to be able to find to copy one to replace it. There is a couple of small dimple like dents in the roof and a few, and again small spots where you can see the paint lifting slightly where some rust may be forming underneath. ITs mostly just up near where the grate of the car is on the hood near the front windshield. But lets look at all the good side to, again All four wheels here, front two spin freely and the back two the friction action works perfectly. Interior is complete with the steering wheel, the litho print inside the car is so detailed, right down to a copy of Life magazine inside the back window laying beside the bow and arrows and the small suitcase. The seats have that tuck n roll design al done in white and grey. Orignal gas and brake pedals still on the floor too! It has on the hood two small projectiles, I think they at one time may have held mirrors, so only the base of the mirror here now. The underside of the car the black tin, is nearly pristine and is clearly marked as Mustang. The make name TN is marked again in that back window where the life magazine is. It has all its hub caps, all original rubber tires. So alot going for this wonderful find and again for something that was owned by a child and been around for 45 years, it really has survived nicely. Im sure the winning bidder will delight in the condition its already in and have some fun, fixing the few flaws and maybe restore with original paint job to and make this mustang a crowing glory in your Vintage Tin Car Collection!
