Yes they are very comfortable to sit on, more like a traditional dinner chair than a breakfast chair to perch on, but you could certainly have the original cushion design remade as a slim-fitting pad. I have the sketches for these.
They are sturdy and in good order. And, they look FANTASTIC!!!
