RICOH CAPLIO R6 - Damaged / Spares / Repair / Faulty

This Ricoh Caplio R6 SOMETIMES powers up, but has several other problems.

The camera powered-up the first time I tried it, and I was able to record images with it, but now I cannot get it to power up.

When it did power up I noticed several issues.

The LCD is cracked. There is a crack in the screen but it has not affected the whole screen. I could see a lot of vision in the screen - around 75% I tend to recall. The crack did not make the screen totally un-usable.

The zoom lens came out normally, but when I zoomed it past half-way it decided to retract back inside the camera and the camera powered-off.

The lens does sit in a fully-retracted position now.

The mode switch near the top has no click to it. It is just loose and slides easily from side to side.

I removed the casing to check for liquid damage (because of the intermittent power up) and although I couldn`t see anything obvious on any of the boards, or the lens, I could see a small number of sticky liquid marks on the inside of the casing.

The camera is in a very good cosmetic condition, with very few marks from use.

The auction is for the camera unit and a strap ONLY. NO batteries or media cards OR ANYTHING ELSE is included.

I try to be as accurate and specific as I can with the descriptions of the tests and checks I have carried out to the units in question. I will always try to provide you with good quality pictures of the actual item to help you to assess the cosmetic condition of the unit.

I deal with quite a few large lots of items and I only get to spend about an hour or so maximum with each unit, as such....
