ROLLS-ROYCE MERLIN V12 in SUPER 1940s AERO ENGINE BOOK
Superb book has 512 pages and almost all have a diagram of a part. Full explanation of every part, oil rings propellors, engine overhauls, adjustment, of valves, seals, magnetos, wheels, repairing airframes, control columns, wires connectors and with masses on the engines, sleeve valves, supercharger parts, propeller feathering oil pump boosters, starters cartridge, flywheel, electrical, allsorts of details, has every part of the Merlin in here, even running in, running speeds, supercharger pressures, lubrication charts the whole lot, even propellors and how they work with the oil feeds etc to change the pitch etc. Also has other engines from makers such as Bristol and De-Haviland. The towards the back is a large section on airframes, instruments and how they work, how to fit them with fixtures and fittings, section chapters on electric magnetos, fuel pumps, emergency wheel lowering pumps. I have taken a lot of photos and there are many 100s more in the book. Topping detailed technical book, measures 8¼ by 5½ and 512 packed pages and by experts from the prewar/war days, no date but last page colophon coded (19)45. Covers Hawker Hurricane and Beaufighter. Topping hard back book. Has engine starting and running instructions, plus graphs and bhp etc etc. CONDITION:- Very good, well bound. Topping very detailed book.
