YOU HAVE AN OPPORTUNITY TO OWN A RARE, IMPORTANT AND A 100% AUTHENTIC RUSSIAN SILVER KNIFE FROM THE WORKSHOP OF PAVEL OVCHINNIKOV, WHO, LIKE FABERGE,  WAS THE PURVEYOR TO THE RUSSIAN IMPERIAL COURT (GRANTED IMPERIAL WARRANT IN 1882).

THIS PIECE IS MARKED WITH OVCHINNIKOV'S FULL NAME AND THE RUSSIAN IMPERIAL EAGLE ABOVE IT. THE KNIFE IS ALSO MARKED WITH '84' FOR RUSSIAN SILVER, AND A TOUCHMARK FOR THE CITY OF MOSCOW, REPRESENTING ST. GEORGE SLAYING THE DRAGON. THE KNIFE WAS MADE IN 1895 AND BEARS THE INITIALS OF THE ASSAYER 'L.O.' THERE IS ALSO A SMALL TOUCHMARK WITH INITIALS 'M.A.' WHICH WE THINK BELONG TO THE SILVERSMITH WHO ACTUALLY MADE THIS PIECE.

THE KNIFE IS IN VERY GOOD CONDITION, WEIGHS 79.9 GRAM AND IS 8 INCHES LONG. THE HANDLE IS ENGRAVED WITH THE OWNER'S MONOGRAM. GOOD LUCK AND HAPPY BIDDING.
