This is the very rare HMV portable gramophone with front wind and black leather
This dates the player to 1926
It is in good working order and comes complete with 3 x 78rpm records in the lid (inc Donald Peers:Cheek to Cheek!) and 19 new needles
It is fitted with a HMV Exhibition unit, the nickel-plating on the sound box is good and it produces a nice bright sound.
The turntable felt is worn in places(see photo) and there are other small areas of wear on the inside of the lid.
Externally the case is very presentable considering it is 83 years old. The carrying handle has some scuffing
Collection in person is preferred because of age & nature of item, but I can pack safely & securely
