Rare 1947 Calendar, Scott Orr
This rare 1947 Calendar was produced as an advertisement for Edward Williams. Benson Works, Foundry Lane, Birmingham, who produced Chain Wheels and Cranks.
Titled 'Going One Better' the art work and amusing titles are by Scott Orr. For instance, the caption on the rugby print with the elderly lady commenting on the game reads: 'When a boy he used to snatch the other children's toys'!
The art work could be removed for framing however these 'pics' are back to back. While the surrounds of Calendar are a little grubby, the prints are in good condition with perhaps just some minor creasing on some.
I have other Calendars of the same ilk to list and am happy to wait till auctions finish so as to combine postage.
