About us:
We have been
trading on eBay since 1999. Our aim has been and still is to offer top
products for the best possible price, as well as providing the best
possible service. We have maintained a positive feedback rating of between
99.7% to 99.9% over the years. But as you have probably heard eBay is
changing. I don't know why eBay is making these changes. Either it's
misguided top management or they have a hidden agenda that we don't know
about and they
are wrecking the site on purpose. In any case it's time for some new
terms in this new hostile environment.
Auction Terms and Conditions (please read carefully before
you bid):
-
By bidding you are
entering into a contract, so please do not bid on any item if you do
not intend to pay for the item.
-
By Bidding or Buying on this item, you have agreed to our terms and condition. All payments of the
winning bid must be made within 7 working days. Unpaid auction wins
will be forfeited after 7 days and a Non-Payer report will be filed
with eBay.
-
The buyer should specify
the auction item number (the item number displayed in the auction and
in the winning buyer's email from treausure-chest-de,) when making
payment. The buyer will be responsible for any shipping delay due to
not leaving the appropriate item number.
-
We endeavour
to try our very best to accurately describe the item listed. We cannot
test some items. Items described as "not tested" are sold "as is". We
cannot confirm that they are working and will NOT refund money
if they don't work. We cannot offer warranties for used items. Items
are tested and described as they are at the time of testing. If they stop working afterwards
we will not refund money. Please consider this when you bid
on these items. Contact us at hanns@treasure-chest.de
if you have further questions.
-
We estimate postage cost at the time of listing
based on the approximate "Cubic Weight" and provide a postage calculator in the description, so you know exactly
how much to allow for postage before you bid. We will
NOT refund money if the actual postage cost happens to be less than
the amount shown in the postage calculator. We think providing the postage cost
up-front is fair, so you can
decide how
much to bid.
-
Paypal, feedback and underpayments: We STRONGLY oppose the compulsory
requirement to accept PayPal policy and hope the ACCC has some sense and
puts a stop to it. In our opinion feedback has become irrelevant
since eBay took away the balance. We will NOT be bullied into reducing
the auction price or the shipping cost on the threat of negative
feedback. We will NOT ship items if the FULL amount isn't paid ( it
seems to be all the rage now to underpay by just a little lately through
PayPal. I accept 1 or 2 cases a month as genuine errors, but 5 or 6
cases a week since the feedback changes look like there's method behind
it.)
-
Non
or late payments. Before feedback system had been
destroyed we had about 1% to 3% of non payers
and most payments had arrived by the end of the week. Now it seems to be
normal to have to chase money or to be forced to open non payment disputes. We
will NOT place non payers on external black lists (like a lot of frustrated sellers do), because
we think they are open to abuse. We WILL open a dispute and give blatant
non payers a non payment strike. We can only appeal to your sense of fairness here.
PLEASE READ THE DESCRIPTION BEFORE YOU BID. Once you win it's your's. I
will not accept "but I didn't realize..." excuses any more, if it
was mentioned in the description. If anything is unclear please ask BEFORE you
bid (question for the seller). I will answer questions honestly and to the
best of my ability.
If you are contemplating paying by
Paypal I suggest you read the following threads before you
decide:

or any other thread in the PaPal forum
for that matter.
I've had MASSIVE
problems logging into paypal lately and have not been
able to process many paypal payments for almost a week, at the time
of writing this, which has resulted in delays shipping items paid for by PayPal.
"Support" has not been able to help me there either. I've done everything they
suggested with no success. As long as the site is not working
properly I can't promise timely shipping for items paid for by
PayPal.
The payment methods we
accept are :
1. Direct Deposit - Internet banking transfer
|
|
2. Credit Card (through PayPal) ( Im
not allowed to dicourage paypal, but my personal prefenence is bank
transfer for Australian buyers).
3.
Australian Money Orders
4. Cash when picking up
|
|
5. PayPal ( Im not
allowed to dicourage paypal, but my personal prefenence is bank
transfer for Australian buyers).
NO CHEQUES ARE ACCEPTED
Shipping:
We process payments at the end of the week (when most payments
should have arrived) and ship Mondays /Tuesdays.
Please make sure your payment is made by Tuesday or
Wednesday, otherwise it might be processed and shipped the
following week.
Paypal payments are not "instant" to us. Items are
considered paid when the money has arrived in our bank account
where we can actually use it (to pay for postage cost for example).
If you elect to pay by eCheque through PayPal it might
take about 10 days until the payment is processed for
shipping

Thank you for taking the time to read these terms.
We have
been working very hard over the years to maintain a
positive feedback profile. While feedback has now become a farce, we still keep on
working, as we alwyas have, to give you the best possible service and great items.
