Artist Details

Garry Shead was born in 1942.    Film maker, cartoonist and Archibald and Dobell Prize winning artist Garry Shead's work is held in most major public collections in Australia. He has created many celebrated series of paintings including the 'Royal Suite' and the 'DH Lawrence' series.
Printmaker, sculptor and filmmaker. Rish has illustrated three books with Garry Shead including "Vence Upon A Time", published in 1982.
Contemporary painter, print maker and sculptor. Dorrough was born in London in 1933 and came to Australia in 1961. She is well known for her textile wall hangings, titled 'Twelve Hangings' (1980) held in NSW Parliament House.
 
 
Here is the second of a truely rare opportunity to own this large framed being a limited edition etching numbered 25/25 by highly sought after artist Garry Shead. This etching is from small numbered limited edtition run of 25 etchings and doubtless to say would rarely come on the secondary market.  This etching is from 1975 making it a very early work and is quite large at an impressive 500 x 600mm.   I will also be listing another etching by Garry Shead from the same period and series. These look absolutely stunning side by side.
