This red & white shibori 'Kanoko' is a REAL one actually made for the Maiko of Gion. This is a classic item worn in a Maiko's hair. It is beautifully made of real silk shibori. It measures a full 27" (69 cm) long. It came from a shop called KINTAKEDO which is located in the heart of Kyoto's Gion Kobu, Hanamachi District that has over a 100 year history of supplying Kanzashi to the Maiko and Geiko of Gion Kobu. Finest quality - Hand made in Kyoto by skilled craftsmen. It comes in a box for storage. As is is quite valuable, it should be shipped by EMS for safety and speed.
