For your consideration is this beautiful Danish made Teak chest of drawers, circa 1960. The unit has been finished in Black Japan. The grain of this chest is still visible through the Black Japan finish, providing a stunning texutured detail to the whole piece. This chest effortlessly combines both Mid century modern and traditional design. The frame and panel sides compliment the more contemporary drawer fronts beautifully. The Danes were the undisputed masters of commercial cabinet making in the mid 20th Century, producing furniture pieces that far exceeded the quality of anything seen anywhere else in the world. This chest is a superb example of the Danish cabinet making ethos, incorporating superior joinery techniques with sublime detail orientated design.

Every inch of this chest has undergone a complete and thorough restoration process. The original finish has been removed, the whole unit has been carefully sanded and then refinished with 5 coats of trade only, nitrocellulose contemporary low sheen French polish.
