Presented here for consideration is a PRISTINE Royal Doulton Country Garden series bud vase (shape 7023). This series was introduced 1929; it has three pattern numbers set against it, this is pattern number D.4932.

Attached to me Nicholnack Art In Pottery I have created a Country Garden fact file where I show the nine different which are unique to this series. This is scene 1: Milkmaid with yoke”.

This piece has the black stamped under glaze maker’s mark that was in use from 1932 until 1942. This gives us a production window on this piece of between 1932 and 1942. The shape number “7023” is impressed into the base of the vase.

  • Dimensions

It stands a proud 10.7 cm (4.25”) tall and it measures 6.5 cm (2.5”) across the handles at the top.

  • Condition

It is in AS NEW condition; with no chips, cracks, repairs or stains and NO crazing. This divine vase has obviously only ever known the sheltered life of a cabinet dweller.
