Up for sale is this stunning vintage hot water pot from Royal Winton in their Love Birds pattern, in the countess shape and dated to the 1920's.
The Lovebirds is a lustre ware pattern, so it is unusual to see it on a Byzanta blue ground.
Both the jug and lid are in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, stains or crazing. The jug stands 6 1/2 " to the top of the finial and measures 5" from the back of the handle to the spout. There is very minor wear to the gilt trim on the two nubs that hold the lid in place, as can be seen in the photos, this is in stunning condition and I doubt it has ever been used.
