Up for sale is this pretty square lidded butter dish, from Royal Winton/Grimwades in their Kinver chintz pattern, dated 1930-34.
The under plate measures 6" square and is in excellent condition having no chips, cracks or stains and only very, very minor crazing comensurate with its age. There is one small chip to one corner, this is underglaze and original to the piece, from the time of manufacture. There is very minor loss to the blue trim to one side only.
The keep measures 3 3/4" square and stands 1 3/4" to its highest point (not including the finial) and is in average condition having no cracks or stains and only very, very minor crazing comensurate with its age. There are 3 very small chips to the outside base, as can be seen in the photos. There is no loss to the blue trim to the finial.
