'Football, The First Day of the Sixth Match', by W.D. Arnold, was published by Frosts of Rugby, Butlers Leap. I am unsure of the year of publication, as there are no clues within the booklet. The date shown is for e-bay listing purposes only. The book therefor could have been published before or after the date shown.

This is a 24 page booklet measuring 7" x 5" with card covers.

Whilst there are some slight signs of use to the covers, the overall condition is very good

The pages were written by an officer, who was stationed with his regiment in India. They were composed by him for his own amusement, during a few leisure hours attendant on a recovery from illness, and not with the intention that they should appear in print.

The responsibility of publishing them, rests with a friend, to whom he transmitted the manuscripts in England, who thought that the lively and interesting picture of their favourite game, drawn under the shadow of the Himalayas, would not be altogether devoid of interest, either to old or present Rugbaeans.

The book is to the memory of Penrose, Venour, Manby, McNiven, Gough, Twemlow, Fellowes, Hughes, Mackie, Walrond. Heroes of a past generation and to all those of the present generation, who, as they did love Rugby
