This model varies from the new Sureshot GPS 8850 in only a few ways.

1. The new 8850 is Apple Mac Compatible.  This 8800 is not.
2. The new 8850 has the ability to hold and store up to 100 courses.  This 8800 can hold and store up to 40 courses (subject to membership level).
3. The new 8850 model has a number of colour antennas available.  The 8800 is available in only 1 colour.

The Sureshotgps™ is a compact, hand-held, easy to use GPS (Global Positioning System) device specific to golf. With the option of attaching to your belt, golf cart or buggy, the sureshotgps means never having to look for a distance again.

• Extremely easy to use: Light weight, ultra user friendly, in an ergonomically designed case for easy holding
• Coloured Screen: High resolution, sunlight readable colour screen with back light ensures clear visibility in all weather
• Large colourful images: All greens and hazards are represented in unique, full colour icons for quick, clear recognition.
• Measuring Distances: Working from GPS points the Sureshotgps, displays the distance from you to the green or hazards in either metres or yards depending on your personal settings. The distances are displayed in real time and update with your movements towards to the green or hazards
• The Green: Distances are shown to the front, centre and back of the green on each hole.
• The Hazards: The Sureshotgps shows the distances of up to 15 hazards per hole including bunkers, doglegs, runout & lay-ups. The measurements to the front of the hazard and the carry are displayed as well as the left, right or centre position on the fairway.
• Play anywhere: Download from the Sureshotgps database of more than 12,000 worldwide courses and play anywhere in the world. The new 8800 model comes standard with a World Charger so it can be charged in any country. It is recommended that you consult the Club regarding the local rule for the use of any measuring device.
• Map your own course:Players can personally map a course or edit any registered mapped course using the Sureshotgps unit.
• Map Capacity: The 8800 model has a capacity to hold up to 40 courses at anytime, depending on the level of Membership. Visit the Membersip Options menu option in this website for more information.
• Score your game: The Sureshotgps can record several key statistics as you play. The advanced feature allows the recording of each fairway, green,putt & sand hit on each hole. A summary of information is displayed after each 9 holes and a can be saved on the unit for future reference.
• Analyse results: A summary of statistics and results can be uploaded to your PC for analysis and saved for game comparisons.
• Rechargeable Lithium Battery: The Sureshotgps comes standard with a high performance Lithium Ion rechargeable battery. The battery life will allow up to 36 hole play in one day, between charges.
