Variable Bit Rate Technology
 |
There are two types of encoding: constant bit rate (CBR) and variable bit rate (VBR). CBR uses the same processing speed regardless of the signal (even during passages of total silence). VBR changes the bit rate automatically to match the complexity of the signal, lowering the processing speed for simple passages and increasing it for passages where a lot is happening. VBR lowers file size but much depends on the complexity of the signal.

Auto Chaptering
