SEGA GAME GEAR -  RECONDITIONED SOUNDBOARD 100% WORKING!

This Sega Game Gear Sound board has been reconditioned and is working as it should.

All 5 capacitors have been replaced with SMD (Surface Mounted) capacitors so it will fit straight into your unit without any trouble!

From a completely dead board I replaced each one and measured the result-

C7: 47uF Bought sound back to the main speaker wasn't loud though headphones were better but still only one channel.

C5: 47uF No real change

C1: 100uF bought stereo back to headphones

C2: 100uF Louder though distorted

C4: Fixed Distortion.

Please note though this was just one particular case and results may vary from board to board depending on the condition of the old capacitors and order of testing whilst replacing them with new capacitors.

Allthough these parts can cost under $2 (ordinary capacitors are about $0.30-0.40 retail) from Jaycar or Dick Smith not everybody has access to a decent/suitable soldering iron or can solder circuit board items succesfully. Obviously I am charging a little bit for my time and effort as anybody should. I am a qualified electrical fitter with over 10 yrs experience (7 yrs qualified) working with electrical/electronics.

Postage

I will be sending this in a padded bag (size 0 from the post office) and would prefer to send via registered post (add $2.70), so I know you get it and it is traceable. So please bare this in mind when bidding. If you choose NOT to go registered I cannot and will not be liable for any lose or damage. If you choose registered post please contact me and allow me to adjust the invoice.

If you choose you can also send your old board back to me and return POSTAGE COSTS (only) will be refunded upon recieving your old board, not really fussed though.
