The viewfinder monitor is not functioning so requires attention. The battery does not seem to be holding a charge, but then again we didn't try charging overnight or for a few hours. The camera is in very good cosmetic condition and (we plugged direct to power with an adapter) the lens responds to auto-focusing so it might be 'seeing' - but whether this transfers to the tape when recording is unknown.
