SILK SARI - 1

 

This sari was passed onto me after the death of a family member.  The idea being that I may like to cut it up and use it for craft work etc.  As I really do not do much craft these days I am offering it up for auction hoping that someone can put it to better use than I can.

 

The fabric appears to be silk but I cannot be 100% sure of this.  The embroidery is in a gold metallic thread.  One side of the fabric has an 8cm border along the whole length whilst the other side has a border along approx a quarter of the length.  The end border is approx 35cms.  This piece has what looks like a small dark grease mark on it.

 

The fabric measures approx. 5.25mts x 112cms.
