SILKY OAK DUCHESS– PIVOT MIRROR AND ORIGINAL BRASS HANDLES

Hi you are watching this lovely timber antique silky oak duchess.

Made to last this lovely duchess has no damage – is in good condition for its age and has a lovely large mirror on the top which pivots up and down.

This is a lovely and elegant piece of furniture that is made by quality craftsmen from the past.

The duchess has 3 drawers, all have the old style dove tail joins and the decorative solid brass original handles that have brass knockers.

The top of the duchess has the loveliest mirror that pivots up and down so you can get just the right angle you want and has the beautiful silky oak timber surrounds.

As this duchess is rather old there is some lifting of the silver behind the mirror which can be re - sprayed – as I was told you can buy the paint.

The duchess has 3 drawers – 2 smaller ones at each side

On larger full length drawer at the top

Has Beveled edging on the top

Solid timber uprights with brass pivots for the mirror

Dove tail joins

Decorative Backing panel on the top under the mirror

The duchess is approximately:

137cm high including mirror

45cm deep

107 cm wide

The person that wins this lovely piece of furniture will not be disappointed and the photos do not do it justice at all.

You can see the lovely pattern of the timber grain showing though the lovely gloss finish – (please refer to photos)

Other then a few marks  from normal day to day use, there is not a great deal to say about it but that it is nice and solid  - would be a wonderful addition to any  bedroom  and would blend well into any home be it modern or Queenslander even cottage style   .

The duchess is silky oak timber – it will last many more families to come – it even has all the dove tail joins on the drawers so you know it has to be good workmanship.
