Acer grosseri, known as the Snake Skin Maple or Big-leaf Maple, is a lovely deciduous tree that originates from China.

Grows to 10 metres tall with its upright branches making a slim silhouette, while the green bark is striped conspicuously with white.

In autumn the thick, rubbery leaves turn vivid yellow, orange and red shades.

The seeds are also distinctive, in pairs with large, broad wings, and clustered on long strings.

Very frost hardy.

For sale is a packet of 30 fresh seeds.
