SNOWY RIVER HYDRO construction design engineering book

This is an original and genuine book on the Snowy River Hydro Electric Scheme from 1962. It was considered an Australian engineering marvel when under construction and one of the biggest infrastructure projects of our time. Proposals for development of the Snowy dated back to 1884 and momentum gathered though to the 1930's. The book details the studies, committee's etc that were set up and provides highly comprehensive information on the finished projects. It has fantastic topographical maps ( incl fold outs ), engineering drawings and many great photos of the diverse aspects that made up the Scheme. It was first published to coincide with the Sixth Plenary Meeting of the World Power Conference - Melbourne October 1962 - compiled and edited by WM Shellshear. 

It is a beautifully produced and very interesting book of 88 pages ( A4 size ) on nice glossy paper. The cover is damaged on the back page - shown in the scan - a corner section is missing. The front cover has a small crease in the clear lamination, going through the w and y of Snowy. Otherwise, all the pages are in excellent condition, clean and unmarked.
