SONY HD 76cm Trinitron Widescreen TV KV-DA32M36 AS NEW!

Hi.  Up for auction is the last 32-inch High Definition Flat Display Trinitron Wega CRT TV model from Sony Corporation Japan.  The full model number is SONY KV-DA32M36 Australian stock.  It was purchased brand new from Sony Central at Melbourne Central VIC for $2,100 only two years ago.  Also purchased with the TV was the optional matching Sony TV stand as original accessory for $399.

This HD Sony KV-DA series High Definition CRT TV model is the successor to the legendary but more common Sony KV-HR and KV-HX series High Definition CRT TV models (which are around 5 years old now) so you can be assured of its high picture quality with advanced features and multiple connection options as listed below (read on).  Being a premium Sony TV wide-screen model with WEGA Theatre Mode, there are in-built speakers in this TV which function as centre speaker in a home theater set-up.  The in-built centre speaker can handle up to 120-Watts (8 Ohms).

The stylish and modern design of both TV and stand unit will complement any home deco. If you're impressed by the attached pictures, you'll be pleased to know that the TV and TV stand look even better in flesh in their metallic two-tone colour scheme.  The stylish TV stand design makes the TV seems floating above the ground.

The HD picture quality of this TV model beats any Plasma and LCD models available today in terms of black contrast, brightness and smear-free (courtesy of proven CRT technology).

As a bonus for the successful bidder, I will include a high-end Sony High Definition Set Top Box model number HST-HD500 (with HDMI connection) which was retailed for $699.  The physical/cosmetic condition of the set top box is also as brand new excellent with the front panel protective film still intact.  An important note however is that, like all set top boxes in the market, this Sony unit is unfortunately also subject to the occasional "freeze".  When it powers on from cold, it does freeze at self-test process occasionally.  But when it does get through the self-test process, it operates as normal throughout.  What I normally do is to power on and off few times until it get past the self-test phase and I will not power it down again (ie. switching off the main power outlet) so it will not have to go through the self-test process again.  I read in internet forums that a possible permanent solution to get rid of the freezing problem is to update the firmware from Sony website support (it has a port at the rear panel to connect to PC for such purpose).  Regretfully, I'm not an IT/technically inclined person and therefore do not really know how to do it nor be adventurous enough to explore.  Like I said above, I do not use this TV and therefore, the "freezing" does not really bother me.  As this set top box is included as a bonus, you may choose not to take it with the TV.

I am selling the TV as it is not used and would like to find a more appreciative new home for it.  I have several other TV units in the house which are also hardly used.  As you probably guessed it already, all the TVs in my house are a Sony (premium range).  When it comes to build quality, style and most importantly, the picture quality, you simply cannot beat a Sony.  View a Sony next to another TV of other brands, you will be convinced on the spot.  The fact that Sony models are able to command higher prices when new and used alike attest to their well-deserved and hard-earned reputation of producing well-engineered and high quality products over the years. 

All in, you're looking at purchasing a premium range Sony TV package worth some $3,200 for as low as $450 (starting bid price).

As with its As New physical/cosmetic condition, the TV operates faultlessly.  In its 2 years of age, the TV was probably switched on for only ten of hours as it sat idly (power off) in a guest room mainly.  You will easily get another 20 years life from it courtesy of Sony quality and its proven Trinitron CRT technology.

As a High Definition model, this Sony TV is not, and will not be obsolete as it handles High Definition Freeview TV digital broadcast signals.  You can watcch tHD, 9HD, ABC HD, SBS HD, ONE, GO hihj definition tv channels and receive 2 digital radio broadcasts right away. 

This is a probably the last opportunity to own the last ever HD CRT TV produced by Sony.  It's a great bonus to the successful bidder that the the TV and accompanying accessories are in excellent original cosmetic/operating conditions and are now being offered at a fraction of its original price. 

The Operating Manual and Remote Controller are included.  The TV remote controller is also in as brand new excellent condition as it is barely used and never been used out of plastic wrap.

Due to the weight and bulk of the TV and the TV stand, I can only offer local pick-up to the successful bidder unless inter-state bidders willing to arrange for their own couriers at their own expenses.

Local pick-up will be from a Victorian Eastern suburb.  Payment will be in cash on pick-up (COD).
