STRAWBERRY SHORTCAKE COOKIE JAR HTF RARE BISCUIT BARREL

DESCRIPTION

This auction is for the “Holy Grail” of Strawberry Shortcake collectibles – the Cookie Jar.  I have seen these jars sell from between $300 - $600 Aussie, so grab a bargain.  This jar is in vgood condition given its age, HOWEVER it has some small problems which do not detract from its collectability but I will mention them so you know what you are getting.  1) Inside the lid has a strange “knob” look to it, but I think this is just how the Strawberry has been attached to the lid (I would assume all jars would look like this, but as they are so rare I don’t have one to compare it to).  2) The lid also has a very tiny hairline split (see the pic) which looks to have been caused during the firing process during manufacture, so I would classify as a manufacturers fault. 3) It has an area on the rear (see the pic and note the brown mark to the right of the pic is my finger tip) base, where the white glaze was missed, again a manufacturer’s fault. 4) It has a tiny tiny chip on the red bow on the left foot (if the jar is facing you).  It is very tiny and could be painted over.  The base of the jar is also a little dirty with shelf wear, maybe you can clean it better than I can, I haven’t really tried.  On the whole it is in vgood used condition (other than the flaws listed) and still HIGHLY collectible.  Should you require further information or pics, please email me.  I am no expert on these figures, and my research comes from the internet.
