The total project includes one set of twelve 9 inch x 9 inchsquares, made of good quality WHITE broadcloth which are pre-transferred  with all the cross-stitch and embroidery markings ... so all you need to do is pick up a square and off you go with needle and thread.

The panels can be sashed out as has been done in the picture to make a cot panel for a little girl if you so wish.

This is a very basic and easily achievable project for a beginner needleworker to have a go at cross-stitch and simple embroidery.
