WHAT SIZE SHOULD I BUY FOR MY POOL

This is quite simple really. Just measure the longest and widest parts of your pool, then allow for an extra 5cm for blanket overlap on each side. The solar pool blankets come in a rectangular shape.


INSTALLATION

1. Ensure your pool is topped up to the correct water level.
2. roll out the pool blanket with the bubbles face down on the water, smooth surface on top. Remove any air pockets from the surface, you can do this with a household broom.
3. Then simple cut the blanket with Sharp scissors to neatly fit around your pool,
3.A. With the initial cut, leave extra room. You would not want to cut to short and have a solar pool blanket smaller then your pool size.
3.b. leave the blanket at this size for a couple of days, then carefully trim away the remaining excess leaving an overlap of approx 5cm on each side.


HOW DOES A SOLAR BLANKET WORK ?

Solar Blankets are made from a film of thousands of tiny bubbles, which work together
to collect and retain heat in your pool. The Solar Blanket floats on top of the water
and allows the solar energy to pass through, then traps it as retained heat in the pool.
Solar Blankets are ideal for use in sunny climates because the more heat they can gather,
the longer they can extend the swim season.


WHAT DO THEY DO ?

Solar Blankets will increase pool water temperature by up to 8 degrees and will reduce
heating costs up to 75%. Pool water stays warmer longer, therefore extending the swimming
season. Most heat loss in a pool is caused by evaporation. Our solar blanket's will trap the heat
in and reduce evaporation by around 99% and will save up to 50% on pool chemical usage while
the pool is covered. The blanket also acts as a barrier to prevent leaves and debris from entering
the pool, thereby reducing maintenance time




GOVERNMENT REBATES


Queensland

The Queensland Government offers up to $200 rebate for a swimming pool cover, a swimming pool roller, or a swimming pool cover and roller - right across the State
Isis Shire Council provides up to $200 rebate for SOLAR pool covers and/or rollers.
Brisbane City Council provides up to $200 rebate for solar pool covers
Tamworth Regional Council provides up to $100 rebate for solar pool covers


WESTERN AUSTRALIA

Western Australian's are eligible for a Water wise Rebate to a maximum of $200 or 50% of the retail
price of the cover, whichever is the lesser amount for 500 micron blankets. Pool Covers are compulsory in new WA homes from 1 September 2007


NORTHERN TERRITORY

Alice Springs has announced that a $50 Pool Cover Rebate will apply in Alice Springs from 1 July 2007.


NEW SOUTH WALES

Dubbo, Although there are no rebates, Dubbo pool owners will need to use a pool cover from 1 October 2007
