LARGE Bronze / brass Ship Fire Fighting Spout / Nozzle from 1997 Guadalcanal Solomon Islands wreck Western Queen
It looks like a cannon!
The Western Queen was driven ashore in 1997 and this item was in the salvage sale in the same year
There's a really great website on the vessel http://www.queenoftheisles.com/HTML/Western%20Queen%20pics.html
The Firefighting spout with fogging head weighs approx 5.5kg packaged & measures 43cm x 18cm x 9.5cm approx
Bought new it would be very expensive!
It will polish up nicely and make an impressive display or you can fight real ship fires with it but remember it's BIG, so use two hands :)
It’s part of a collection from 35 years licenced salvage work in the Solomon Islands and New Guinea area which will be offered on eBay as we work through the collection. If you’re also interested in WW2 US and Japanese items from conflict in the Pacific add us to your favorites list ☺
