Introduction

Naturally weathered timber - from the beach!!
Each piece is totally unique, depending on what the tide brings us!!
We rescue the naturally-aged forest timbers that are discarded from old wharfs, bridges, houses and buildings. These timbers would otherwise have been put into landfill, but they are restored and re-used, helping to ensure our forests survive for future generations.

Material

Museum quality 100% cotton 370gsm canvas. UV stable archival inks for long lasting vibrant colours.

Brush Strokes

The artwork is first printed on canvas and then our team of skilled artists, add real oil paint brush strokes in key areas to create a unique piece of art of outstanding visual impact.

Timber Frame

We use quality rescued timber to create our range of hand-crafted canvas frames. Every piece is unique, using selected Australian timber and restored by artisans at our Melbourne workshop and gallery
The timber is mainly Victorian Ash Hardwood, which was grown locally many years ago, and is found in Australian native eucalypt forests.
All our frames are guaranteed and come with backing board, ready to hang on your wall.

Timber Character

Every frame has its own unique character, be it old nail holes, gum veins, knots, shakes etc. The surfaces are hand rub back, exposing the warmth of naturally aged timber which is functional and yet elegant in any decor. Any irregularities are considered to be characteristic of the design and not a defect. They are finished with a natural to a light wax finish.

Global Nature Crafts is an Australian nature photography and art craft producer which blends ancient and modern artistic craft designs with panoramic landscapes and wildlife images Featured Artist: Dilhan Nicolas has been involved in wildlife and nature conservation since a teenager. It was instilled by the sense of freedom experienced when camping and hiking with friends in the wilderness.

His passion for the wild constantly involved him with endangered species conservation. From Red Panda research at the London Zoo, Sable Antelope and Maned Wolf research with the Smithsonian in the USA, Murray-Darling basin conservation with WWF-Australia, Sea Turtles in Sri Lanka to Giant Panda conservation in China.

He hopes his images can create a sense of nature and harmony by turning your home and office walls into glorious nature at its best.
