Set of 3 Rare

TORPEDO DRINK BOTTLES 

These are really old bottles as can be seen by the blob necks, irregular shapes and numerous air bubbles in the glass.

 Torpedo bottles were made in this unusual shape to force people to store them on their sides.  This was to prevent the corks from drying out allowing the beverage to go spoil.

This design has not been manufactured for many years and they are now not very common.

The height of each bottle is approx 23cm  [ 9 inch ]

The bottles are all similar in appearance and condition.  There are no significant chips or cracks in the glass.  One has what looks like a burst bubble or manufacturing defect.

 A great addition to any collection.
