Sharp 76cm TV SX76NF8 CRT widescreen fast text

5 years old TV, needs a part replacement. The colors on the screen are very dark and brightness settings are unable to fix that. I only heard from a friend that can be fixed easily. The TV has working remote control, but batteries must be held in with tape as the clasp of the battery compartment on the back is broken.
