This is a used Shimano Calais 200 dc- only 7 months old. Only ever used at Awoonga in the fresh water chasing barra. The DC brake system has been proven to offer the longest casting distance, since the release of Calcutta TE DC in 2003. The new Calais DC has improved the DC system to have 4 casting modes (L, M, A and W) and 8 strength of fine adjusting, which is adjustable by dial without opening the reel. The 4 modes set the brake to appropriate for various casting situations.

Perfect for stealth fishing, this feel casts a mile and is just a pleasure to use. I have two of these and selling my right hand retrieve reel. This is perfect condition and used rarely- I mainly use left hand retrieve reels and this has been in boat more times than actually been used.

very few minor marks on the reel, nothing deep very very shallow from day to day use- you have to hold into the light to see anything. Nothing minor full refund offered if you are not happy. I have recently sent to Shimano to check everything so you are getting a top reel at a second hand price. Always put back into original box and cleaned after every use.
