A Short History of Scene Design in Great Britain, published in the Drama and Theatre Studies series as a Blackwell Paperback, by Sybil Rosenfeld. As the cover says "beginning with the staging of medieval miracle plays and moralities, the author traces the development of scene design in Britain from the introduction by Inigo Jones of painted perspective scenery from Italy in the early 17th century, through the shifts in taste which produced the romantic and the realist movement, to the non-representational and abstract styles of the present day." 1973, 214-pages, indexed, size 15cm wide x 21cm high, indexed, used but in generally fair condition, cover is a bit faded and has a creased dog ear on the back, a few of the pages are dog-eared at the back, first page has a 2nd hand bookshop sticker on it awkwardly covering up written details of previous owner.
