These are 64GB SSD with an eSATA interface, and a USB interface for when an eSATA port isn't available. The read and write speeds are blisteringly fast, and with the eSATA II interface, transfer speeds are many times faster than USB 2.0.

These drives offer the performance and capacity you need, to transfer or backup large files quickly and easily. They're very popular in video industries, where transferring large files can otherwise be a lengthy process. When the fast SSD is combined with the eSATA interface, the transfer rate is up to 8x conventional USB drives. When the SSD is used with the USB interface, the SSD technology delivers up to 3x the transfer rates of conventional USB drives - See the chart below to compare these drives to other portable drives.

The SSD has two retractable connectors: A super fast eSATA connector; and a standard USB 2.0 connector for USB 2.0 speeds (when an eSATA port isn't available). In order to utilise the eSATA connector, your eSATA port must be capable of providing power - these ports are commonly found on netbooks and notebooks, where the eSATA port incorporates a USB power supply. Cables are available that can combine an eSATA port and a USB port into an eSATA port with power, but such cables are not included with this SSD.
